The 2015 Auld Enemy Dinner (AED) took place at The Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London on Friday 13thMarch. 300 guests were once again treated to a fun-filled and rewarding evening of entertainment in the presence of some of the games greatest players.
Our now well established MC, Jill Douglas, once again kept the evening ticking along which started with the ever challenging “True or False” and culminated with the UK’s greatest auctioneer, Jonny Gould, teasing and taunting guests in his own unique style to part with their money for some amazing prizes. In total the event raised a record £109,000 for our two charities, RESTART and the Clock Tower Foundation.
The players’ panel of Gregor Townsend, Chris Cusiter, Ugo Monye and Tim Stimpson gave their insight into what it’s like playing in a Calcutta Cup, whilst Scotland legend Doddie Weir was in hilarious form as he brought the house down with some real “Doddie” classics !!
I would once again like to thank all those guests who gave their support to the AED and the charities in attending.
