The 3rd Glengoyne Auld Enemy Dinner took place at the fabulous Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh on Friday 7th February 2014. 300 guests once again celebrated the oldest International rugby fixture in the world – the Calcutta Cup – in the company of some of the games biggest names.
The Dinner celebrated the 1984 fixture which was the 100th Calcutta Cup match, and guests included Jim Telfer, Peter Winterbottom, Steve Bainbridge, Peter Dods, Euan Kennedy, Andy Nicol and Jason White.
Other notable guests on the night included John Inverdale and Jamie Bowers (Miss Scotland 2013). The MC for the evening was once again the talented Jill Douglas and the UK’s greatest auctioneer,Jonny Gould had the audience in stitches, as well as digging deep!
As ever a number of Military personnel joined us on the night as we endeavored to raise money for tow superb charities. A silent and live auction raised an incredible £55,500 for the two charities – Erskine and The Clocktower Fund.
